Google Earth for Android Tablets

Google Earth is a crazy little program. First off, you can fly all over the known universe with it, and zoom in closely enough to see things you could normally only see by living there. While you might be like the guy who found a space station on Mars- no doubt after a search that would do right by the cast of CSI- you can find some neat architecture and a place to eat in a city you might never end up actually visiting.

Since the Android tablet is the closest link between smart phones and regular computers, it’s a natural fit for Google Earth. You can zoom in on a place while you’re actually in the area, or while you’re waiting at the airport to catch a flight there. While you might just end up trying to see if you can peak into somebody’s skylight and catch something naughty, you could also end up discovering some great distractions in a city you wouldn’t have expected to harbor any fun.

Naturally, since Google Earth and Android were made by the same folks, they work extremely well together. Google is known to be the flower child of Silicon Valley, which is really saying something. So you should expect perfect integration, tools and buttons to be precisely where you think they should be, and even the ability to customize your interface to a point. If you have programming skills, you can even make alterations to Android to better fit your style of use. All in all, Google Earth on your tablet is a little like having a very small tour guide.
